Montauban, France, 10 November 2011 – Prooftag, a supplier of document security and brand protection technologies and solutions, along with INSIDE Secure, one of the leading suppliers of semiconductors that secure transactions, will exhibit a new document security solution that meets ICAO standards at the Cartes & Identification Exhibition in Paris this week.
With new threats on the horizon, identity security has become a pressing issue for users, companies and governments.
Prooftag and INSIDE Secure present an innovative concept to improve document security through the integration of an ICAO standard identity chip. This partnership has produced a new cutting-edge security solution for documents based on proven Bubble Tag™ and contactless technology.
This technological collaboration aims to increase the level of document security by combining an overt and random 3D identity token, the Bubble Tag™, with an ICAO standardized contactless chip. This combination creates a tie between the body of the document and the ICAO chip content by storing the Bubble Tag™ signature in a memory zone in the chip.
In this way, the solution offers a new level of verification for sensitive documents:
- Thanks to Bubble Tag™, it’s possible to verify the authenticity of a document.
- Thanks to the chip, it’s possible to verify the user identity by means of their digital finger prints.
The reader, which has been developed by Prooftag and INSIDE Secure, combines a contactless and optical reader, further demonstrating the existing tie between these two security components.
This innovation increases the level of trust while limiting the chances of chips being copied or reused. A synergy is therefore created between the digital security and physical security of a document.
