The M-Proof terminal has been developed for applications requiring a total mobility. Since it's autonomous, it doesn’t require any additional device to carry out authentication. It has its own embedded intelligence, and communicates with distant databases through its own communication system. Description M-Proof terminal combines a last generation mobile phone with an optical reader which checks the authenticity and the validity of a 3D Bubble Tag™ by connecting to a central database, via an EDGE/3G/3G+/PMR telecommunication network. This terminal establishes officially the authenticity of a Bubble Tag™ in order to guarantee the origin of the product or docment to which is related, and to establish that it has not been forged. |

Methods of operation
The M-Proof terminal carries out an official, automatic control anywhere and at any time. It verifies the authenticity of the Bubble Tag™ and its validity in the following ways:
- It captures an image of the Bubble Tag™, computes its signature and compares it to the original signature stored in the database
- It carries out a three-dimensional reading of the Bubble Tag™ being checked
- It enables the operator to verify the consistency of the data attached to the document or product with that recorded on the distant database.
Security
Given that it operates entirely automatically, the M-Proof terminal leaves no room for human intervention during authentication. In this way, it guarantees the impartiality and traceability of the control process.
